Best city beaches in Amsterdam
Now that summer is starting, we also want to go to the beach. Now not everyone wants to make a whole trip to the sea, but that is not necessary either. These are the nicest city beaches in Amsterdam.
These beaches are just as chill and much closer if you are in Amsterdam. That way you can be on the water every summer day and that naturally makes us happy.
Plekk
One of the favorite places in Amsterdam is Pllek. With the ferry you can be there from Amsterdam Central within a few minutes. With a beautiful view over the IJ you can enjoy super good food and music until late at night. Really recommended.
Strandzuid
Strandzuid is no less than 2000 square meters and is located between the RAI and the Beatrixpark. In addition to being able to chill on a towel with your friends, you can also enjoy lunch or dinner by the water. You have plenty of nice places here where you can enjoy a drink until the late hours. Also nice, you can rent locations at StrandZuid for your birthday.

Dok
Another location where you can go for anything throughout the summer is Dok Amsterdam. You can organize parties and barbecues here, or just chill out horizontally all day on the city beach. About a thousand people fit on the beach so believe us when we say that it is very cozy here in the summer.
Haas & Popi IJburg
At Haas & Popi on the beach of IJburg, you look out over the IJmeer. A colorful (particularly child-friendly) address (with a fireplace and of course an unparalleled terrace – depending on the weather) with surprising, particularly tasty and constantly changing dishes with beautiful matching (organic) wines.

Sloterplas strand
The Sloterplas Strand is a bit outside the city, but therefore also one of the quieter city beaches. It is not a cultural or hip hotspot, but it does offer a beautiful and peaceful nature experience on the lake. Grab your towel and enjoy this green beach oasis with your family, friends or alone.
Noordkust
That city beaches are popular is no secret. Noordkust was designed with the thought that we all need a little space and relaxation in the city. This city beach will soon be opened near the KNSM island. So wait a little longer, but that is certainly worth it.

Gaasperplas
On the south side of the Gaasperpark you can find a lovely sandy beach. Do you want to end your day with a barbecue? It’s possible at the Gaasperplas. Also, Gaasperplas is perfect for kids!
