Rooftops & Skybars Amsterdam

The best Rooftops & Skybars Amsterdam

Summer is coming and there is no better place to spend this summer than on a rooftop. Rooftops are completely hot and especially in the summer, the perfect place for a balmy summer evening: wonderful views over Amsterdam, watching the sun go down and tasty snacks and drinks. That’s why it’s time for a list of the best rooftops and sky bars in Amsterdam. Because we certainly have a number of them.

Skylounge Amsterdam

On the top floor of the luxurious DoubleTree Hotel, located next to Central Station, you will find the SkyLounge. With a panoramic view of the city you will be amazed. With the cold weather the roof terrace is not recommended, but you can also stay inside. Share a “Bartender’s Skull” with your friends or choose one of the many cocktails or wines.
Location: Oosterdoksstraat 4, 1011 DK Amsterdam

Twenty Third

While you can dine in various restaurants at the Okura Hotel, you have to go to Twenty Third for a good cocktail. As the name suggests, you will find this bar on the 23rd floor. Snacks are prepared by Ciel Bleu, Okura’s restaurant with two Michelin stars. In addition to cocktails, you can choose from various wines and champagnes.
Location: Ferdinand Bolstraat 333, 1072 LH Amsterdam

Canvas

For a rooftop bar in the East of Amsterdam you have to go to Canvas. Located on top of the Volkshotel you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is also a great place to start the evening with a drink. After 11 p.m. the bar turns into a club where you can make the dance floor unsafe all evening.
Location: Wibautstraat 150, 1091 GR Amsterdam

Floor17

Drink, Dine & Dance is the motto of Floor17. There is a bar, restaurant and club on the seventeenth floor of the Apollo Hotel. The basis of the dinner menu is formed by purely Dutch ingredients. The drinks menu has a number of cocktails and wines, but Floor17 is specialized in various mixed drinks.

W Lounge

The Dam has a new hospitality pearl with it. The international hotel chain W Hotel has transformed the old government office building for money and telephone companies into a new hotel. In addition to the restaurants The Duchess and MR PORTER you can go there for a snack and a drink on the sixth floor. Here you will find the W Lounge. The view is fantastic, the cocktail menu impressive.
Location: Spuistraat 175, 1012 VN Amsterdam

Bureau

Bureau is a relatively unknown hotspot in Amsterdam but really worth a visit. Bureau, is tough, creative, organic and they do a lot of sustainability. Bureau serves a tasty lunch with a soup of the day, sandwiches, some salads and sandwiches with different types of croquettes. In the evening you can enjoy a delicious three or four course meal.

A’DAM tower

Brand new and much discussed. With chic restaurants such as MOON on top, a swing and a floor that contains a large transparent plate (terrifying), the A’DAM tower is immediately one of the most famous. A nice view over Noord and the center and a very funky elevator.
Location: Overhoeksplein 1, 1031 KS Amsterdam

Nemo

Many of you will only know Nemo as the museum. But after such an educational day, you can also do it. A total of 120 steps but then you also have something. Beautiful view of the city!
Location: Oosterdok 2, 1011 VX Amsterdam

Hopp

In the east you will find the fine roof of HOPP. It is a huge roof where you will also find your own garden of the restaurant. This makes it almost feel like you’re sunbathing somewhere in nature. A place in nature with lots of tasty specialty beers and a great audience.
