Sushi Amsterdam: Yamazato, in the Okura Hotel with a Michelin Star

In the Okura hotel you can find the Yamazato Restaurant, where they serve really good sushi. This restaurant has had a Michelin star since 2002 and is therefore often full of Japanese people eating sushi around noon. The price category is quite high, but the quality that you get in return is excellent. Yamazato serves food according to the authentic Kaiseki cuisine. Much attention has also been paid to the decor. Thanks to the classic Japanese design, you really have the feeling of being in Japan for a while. The sushi is freshly prepared at the sushi bar in front of you by the top chefs, you will hardly get it any fresher than this.
Location: Ferdinand Bolstraat 333, 1072 LH Amsterdam

Ku Kitchen

KU Kitchen is the place for a pleasant evening with friends, where they have a contemporary Japanese kitchen. You are in an environment with a trendy atmosphere and you receive sushi of a high level. Through the glass window, which can be seen from the restaurant, you can see that the food is prepared with great passion by the chef.

EN Japanese Kitchen & Sake bar

The chefs who work here learned the intricacies of Japanese cuisine at Yamazato. The dishes that are prepared are based on the kappo kitchen. This eating style lies between the chic kaiseki and the more relaxed izakaya style. The atmosphere there is informal and the food is prepared right in front of you, it couldn’t be fresher…
Location: Dusartstraat 53 h, 1072 HP Amsterdam

MOMO

When you walk in at MOMO at Vondelpark, you end up in a New York-esque scene. Up-tempo jazz and lounge from the speakers, cozy corners for two and sultry light where everyone seems handsome. The sushi at MOMO is not traditional. Be sure to try the “MOMO roll” with tuna, sea bass, salmon, avocado and tarragon miso.
