Largest cultural event
The Uitmarkt attracts around 500,000 visitors annually. Therefore it is one of the largest cultural events in the Netherlands. The festival traditionally opens the new cultural season. It does so with more than 350 performances on around 30 stages. From classical to child-friendly, hip hop to dance and theater to jazz. There is something for everyone.
Uitmarkt: Fun for everyone
In addition to the many performances there is also a book market. Next to the book market there is an extensive information market and children can enjoy themselves at Uitmarkt Junior. Traditionally, the Uitmarkt is closed with the dazzling Musical Sing-a-Long!
Free entrance
The Uitmarkt is definitely one of the most fun events in Amsterdam. This is also because it can be visited completely free of charge. More than half a million people visit the event every year.
